I Have A Secret ☯

I wish I could tell you that I was writing this post on some tropical beach. However, summer is quickly approaching the end and the most tropical place I can go is Bridlington. But, I now have the secret to natural looking sun-kissed hair without having to leave your bedroom. Cause seriously, why would anyone want to do that?

I present to you L'oreal Sunkissed Gradual Lightning spray and gel

These products are literally the Spanish sun in a bottle. All you do is apply them to the areas you want to lighten. You then have a few options to choose from which is always nice. You can either let it air dry, sit outside or do some type of outdoor activity or (my favourite and the most effective instantly) use a hairdryer. You must apply this on dry hair as I have found this to give the best results.

You have three gels to choose from 1,2,3 obviously they achieve a lighter shade as you go through the numbers. For the best look,I recommend using the spray and then the gels 1,2,3. I also love the condition they leave my hair in. It feels so much stronger and nourished which isn't normal with a hair colourant but as this is gradual I feel it's gentle on the hair unlike bleaching it.

I have received so many compliments on how nice and strong my hair is looking and it is all down to these wonder products. Plus. it is permanent so you will get roots but I feel that makes it look more natural.

I hope you enjoyed this post I have a huge exciting HAUL! coming on Friday so look out for that.

Sleep in a Bottle ☯

Hello Stranger, today I thought I would review my brand new face. I recently picked this up in Boots and from the minute I swatched it on my jaw I loved it. Unlike other drugstore foundations, it was a perfect match and had no orange undertone at all. I have always been intrigued by the qualities of this foundation as it claims to do a wide range of things. Anti-fatigue, skin brightening, illuminating and a radiant, flawless finish.

So first up the application. I did my usual routine; apply some to my hand then dot it on my face with a sponge then blend it in. And as soon as I dotted it on I saw how perfect the colouring was. Instead of looking orangey it just looked pale. As I started to blend it out I was surprised at how easily it blended.

It feels like silk o the skin but still not too heavy.
I wore this on one side of my face and my normal foundation on the other and this lasted a whole lot longer.
It also smells really, really good. Which is always a bonus!

Price                     8/10
Lasting Time     9/10

Blend-ability   10/10

I hope you liked this quick review. I will be posting a few “Back To School” themed posts. If you have any requests for posts then leave them below. Love you all.

How to save yourself from the orange effect ☯

Every makeup wear's nightmare. The orange line! I honestly have nightmares about this thing, it's not right. So today I thought I would help you all by telling you a few ways that will make sure this NEVER happens to you again.

  1. Buying a foundation:
When you are trying to find the perfect foundation colour for your skin tone, always remember to apply it on the side of your face (jawline) down to the neck. This way you know exactly what colour you need, and you won't get the orange line of doom because you have already matched yourself.

      2. Blending out:

I would recommend using a damp beauty blender and a foundation paint brush for the best application. Use the paint brush to apply the foundation directly onto your cheeks, chin and jawline, forehead and nose. Then go in with your sponge and pat the foundation into your skin. Not only with this blend better, but it will look flawless. Just as your finishing wipe the sponge from your jawline to your neck and just to make sure its even do this face:

      3. Tanning, before / after:
Usually, the reason for the orange line is tanning. I don't mean you should stay inside all day and never get tanned. I mean you should buy a light and dark foundation. So no matter what colour you are you have a foundation. But if you would rather stick to one foundation shade all-year-round I would recommend colour adjusting drops

I hope you enjoyed this post. Hopefully, you won't have to deal with foundation lines again! Cause they're a real pain. I am thinking of doing a makeup collection post. So comment if that's a good idea.

Let's All Go Honolulu ☯

Ok, so Honolulu actually means "sheltered harbour" or it's Hawaii's capital. So you can pick how you interpret the title how you wish. Anyway, this is my first official post and it's a ... review! Whooooooo!

So the culprit today is a loose bronzing powder called Honolulu by Warpaint Cosmetics {or w7}. I picked this up today from B&M Bargains as they always their products cheap and in stock. When I first saw it I didn't really expect much as it was only 99p in B&M.

When you first open it, your met with a dark brown powder that honestly looks like cocoa powder, and as I am paler than a piece of paper this really alarmed me. I applied the product with a Royal & Langnickel powder brush as it's really soft and doesn't apply the powder to heavily. *Helpful Tip: You can't be lazy with this powder, you have to tap off the excess or you will look like you had a cocoa powder accident*  So, when I actually applied it I feel in LOVE, it's so soft on your skin and goes on like a dream. As it's a very brown heavy bronzer it doesn't appear orange at all, plus it works on pale skin and is very pigmented.

As you can see I am pretty amazed by this product and I can't wait to try the solid box powder version as well.

Welcome ☯

I love reading blogs. I just love reading about people's opinions, feelings, life and everything in between! This is one of the reasons I decided to create this little corner of the internet.  So I should probably tell you about the sort of content I will be uploading.

Most of the time it will consist of beauty and lifestyle themed posts, but that doesn't mean a few other posts like tags won't get thrown into the mix. Just so you know I am very opinionated so the reviews could be a bit ranty, but aren't they meant to be?

This isn't a very long post but I am going to be posting a review on a new little surprise that I picked up today.
So if you like the sound of my blog, feel free to join me on this weird journey. If not, nice knowing ya friend I hope you have fun whatever you do!

See you in a while crocodile!!
