2018 Wishlist

I like to create these wishlists at the beginning of the year as it helps me limit my spending to what I really want. Due to where I am going this year, it will be my first time in a Sephora, so I wanted to make sure I had a list so I don't just buy the whole store. Moreover, I think it's just nice for people to see what others want so they can maybe try it as well. So let's get into the good part, the makeup!

Fenty Beauty glossybomb and highlight duo.

Fenty Beauty foundation in 100.

Fenty Beauty Primer.

Fenty Beauty match stix in porcelain.

Fenty Beauty match stix
trio in 100.

Harrods Mac palette.

Huda Beauty
foundation in
Milkshake.

                                                                Touch Sol No poreblem primer.

Here are the products I'm lusting over, if you have had any of these and enjoyed them then, please leave a comment on your opinion of it.

At Home Lash Extensions

I have seen a rise in interest in Lash Extensions as they are a semi-permanent alternative to fake lashes. Usually you have to get them done professionally at a salon. My mum is qualified to apply these lashes, so I saw these before I saw fake lashes. My mum had done them once on me for a school performance and loved them, it made wearing no makeup look a lot more put together. Over the summer, I started wearing fake strip lashes, and my mum said "Well why don't you use my salon glue and have them as semi-permanent ones instead?". So the next time I went down to Boots I looked out for induvidual lashes as I thought they would look more natural and I could customise the length for different occasions.

So the supplies you need are either strip lashes {some of my favourites are the Ardell ones} or induvidual lashes { Eyleure are my favourite ones and the ones I am wearing in these photos}. The most important part of this is the glue { I use a semi-permanent one from Sally's beauty supplies}.

You just need a little glue and apply them directly at the root of the lash so it looks natural and blended. Apply the smaller lashes at the inner corner to the middle of the eye. Now slowly put the medium length lashes on top of the middle ones and out to the outer corner. If you feel you need more of a whispy and dramatic look you can apply the longest ones on the outer corner and blend them into the eye.

When you want them to be removed you can either get the remover from the supply store or you can use and oil you have spare. I usually just use olive oil on a cotton round then a cotton bud.

Hello 2018

I have not blogged at all in 2017, I have wanted to but never got round to it. However, 2018 is going to be a big year for me. I'm going to London and Germany; I finish school, I start Sixth Form! Due to this I want to start blogging again. I also think it will be a really good creative output for me. So, the whole point of this post is to welcome 2018, so I thought I would set some goals for the year that I can reflect on next year. Here are the three things I am going to focus on in 2018!

1. Get Organised
I admire everyone who has their life together in the sense that they know what they are doing and what they need. I wish I was one of these people. My kind of organised means if it is not on the floor I don't know where it is. My workload and schedule is going to become very crammed from now on and I want to make sure I am utilising my time effectively.

2. Say Yes
I am going to Germany which was a very big decision for me, as it will be my first abroad trip on my own. Plus, my anxiety is very bad on a plane. I feel I can accomplish so many other amazing, once in a lifetime opportunities. Even if it's something as small as a party or something as big as a trip. This is the year that as cliche as it sounds I want to live and own. The past two years have been very hard for me and I haven't really accomplished much so I now want the start of my life to be a good one.

3. Value Time
This is a bit like the last one but this year has really shown me that every moment no matter how insignificant at the time is a precious moment, and I don't want to waste any of them, especially if it's with family and friends. If people or situations are messing with me or not working I need to leave them and focus on myself and what I need.

As I said before, this is the year I will finish school and start my journey toward a career. My life is starting and I need to own it. I would really reccomend not only doing this but also reflecting on the past year and seeing how it has changed and shaped you.

Take a Dip

I love showers! I love the convenience of being in and out in 10 minutes. But I do find baths so much more relaxing. There's something so nice about a bath full of amazing products on a stressful day. These are all the products I used today for my Pamper evening.

Do you have pamper evenings? How regularly do you like to do them?

School Face Essentials

As you may or may not know, everyone has gone back to school. So I thought this was a brilliant opportunity to do a beauty essentials post. These are just a few of my absolute favourite products. I love them because they are light on the skin and don't make you look like your wearing pounds of makeup. To me, this is essential for your products to have these properties. Who wants to be worrying about what their makeup looks like whilst they're dealing with school? Not me!

Maybelline Baby Lips  - Pink Punch

This MAC powder is actually amazing; it keeps my face matte all day, sets my foundation beautifully and can be used as a foundation on it's on own. Rimmel has always been my favourite for drugstore foundation, and they're just as good at concealers. Since Casper, the ghost, has more colour than me;  it's almost impossible for me to find concealers. However, this is brightening, blendable and long lasting. If you're anything like me, your brows are everything. If this sounds familiar then you need Benefit Ready, Set, Brow gel. Your brows won't be moving all day. Lastly, everyone needs a lip balm and everyone loves Babylips so this is kind of a no-brainer!

This is an amazing mascara it grabs all your lashes, makes you look awake and doesn't clump up easily. I will be doing a more in-depth review on this so look out for that. We all want to look chiseled and bronzed. This is the best palette I have found in the drugstore and it's one of the cheapest. If you have really long hair then you need a Tangle Teezer. They are not harsh on your hair at all. Any knots you have will be removed so easily and it doesn't hurt at all.

Freedom Pro studio - Fixing mist
Maybelline Baby skin - Instant Pore Eraser
Borjous Healthy Mix Serum - Light Vanilla
Maybelline Colour Tattoo - Creme de Rose

This fixing mist/spray really does what it says on the tin. I just spritz some all over my face a few minutes after I have completed my makeup and by the time I get home I look just as flawless! Primers, in my opinion, can be quite hard to get right; and although this one smells funny and is very siliconey; it does what I want it to do. Plus, my face feels as smooth as a baby's butt. Which I like on my face! The one thing I don't like at school is a heavy foundation. I just feel like it looks too dressy and fake. So I am constantly reaching for this beautiful Borjous Serum. It smells so fresh and fruity, feels amazing on the skin and lasts all day. Lastly, for my eyes, I love the wash of colour this tattoo cream gives.

Dear 18 year old me... ☯

Hello Me,
So Alice. How you doin'? Ok, that's cringy! Well done, your now an adult that can drink and do normal things in society. Plus, high school is over so your finally free. No more awkward lessons about what you want to do in the future and you would just be clueless.

Today I am writing to you to tell you some of the hopes and dreams that I want to be accomplished by the time I'm 18. Not all of these are MUST do but I would like it if they were done.

So, first up: school. I think you've finished school now but I hope you carried Art and Photography on through A-level and are thinking of going to art college. If you have given these up, something really big must have happened. Hopefully, you got a good GCSE grade and are really excelling in Art and Photography.

Additionally, I would like to think you have carried on this blog and helped it grow and develop. Maybe it has a professional looking template or design. And since I am buying a camera in a few days, the picture quality and layout should be more aesthetically pleasing. I also want you to reply to this in a blog post.

Personally, I want you to be more confident in yourself and put yourself out there more. Whether it's social, blogging or mentally. If you have lost weight, brilliant. But if not, I hope your content with who and what you are. Appearance wise, I would like it if you cut your hair a little bit as it's currently down to your bum. I also hope you found the correct foundation shade because at the moment you are using the L'oreal true match in 1n. Also, your brows were on fleek but then you accidentally messed them up and now they are horrible. So please say they are good again.

Friends wise, are you still in contact with E and B? Or are you with other people now. I also hope you go out more and have gotten to grips with your anxiety. Now you can think about driving, please say you are more independent and can easily go out with friends and family. I hope you are still at home and looking after Mum. If they haven't found a proper medication.
Your teeth will be straight now and I hope you've kept on top of them.

This is everything. I hope you enjoy life as an 18-year-old.

See ya in a while crocodile
